months of researched and wisely planned adventure based on two important factors:
The seasonal presence of sharks at the planned locations and weather conditions allowing for hopefully calm crossings.
Waste! The trip will be completed in total autonomy, without plastic packaging/tins or toxic product. The solution? Responsible fishing, culture of locusts/radishes/mushrooms/edible algae, renewable energy, and homemade natural toothpaste and detergent. We have granted ourselves 100ml of diesel fuel for exiting ports.
km sailing the waters of 10 different countries. The departure in January in the Bay of Biscay will be most challenging and sailing up the west coast of Mexico against the wind and the waves will not be a piece of cake. Despite this, we are counting on "Mecton" to take us safely all the way to Guadalupe Island.
days of cumulative sailing, as much as a Vendée Globe! Except that we are four to brave the oceans and our journey will be punctuated with many stops to dive with sharks.
